“Goddess” knows I’ve had plenty of sex for sex-sake in the nearly 80 years of my life. And it might seem kind of hypocritical of me to now be preaching about sex and spirituality. But the fact is, it took me many years of oftentimes painful experiences; years of deep introspection; and ultimate unification with my own Sacred Self to realize the true significance and meaning of the sex act. Think about it. What is more intimate than allowing someone into your body? And what is more mind altering than orgasm? We are literally not ourselves as our beings are gripped with this most intense physiological and psychological experience. I have literally left my body while in the throes of orgasmic joy.
And this is exactly my point. During orgasm we are the most open, receptive and in the totality of our being than during any other experience. We can and do, literally, leave the moorings of physicality as the soul becomes one with the soul of our partner; providing he too is experiencing the impact of a full body-mind-spirit orgasm. What can be more intimate? And what other opportunities do we have to unite with another being on such a complete and profound level. The only experience that compares with the ecstasy of a mutual orgasm is that of religious ecstasy where one experiences the intensity of flying beyond one’s body into the freedom of the soul and connection with something greater than one’s physical being and consciousness.
I have put this to the test. And I reassure you—I do not tell lies—no need to at this stage of my life—that when you are with a partner with whom you are “soul-connected” and not just with some dude (is that even current?) who “turns you on,” the experience of mutual orgasm is beyond the mere pittance of words I can use to describe it. How about OBE? Or have you ever astrally projected…? left your body to explore universes beyond Time Itself? Need I say more?
Reclaim Sex as a Spiritual Act and come into the fullness of your Goddess-Hood.

Often in the evening, I sit at my altar before the magnificence of this view to watch the sun as it sets. Last night as I watched the setting sun, I remembered that we were coming up on the anniversary of the murder of Bobby Kennedy on June 5, 1968. Three the good men: Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King and President Jack Kennedy all of whom, at a key point in our history, would have most certainly turned the tide of future events (the election of the current President among them). All three of these men were at the verge of bringing real unity to the country in times of great racial upheaval. All three preached a unifying, holistic message. And with the death of the last of these crusaders for peace and equality, the way was made clear for the election of evil (Richard Nixon) into the White House. We have never, as a nation found our way back to the high goals and ideals of these three men. Obama, an African American in a racially divided nation never stood a chance.
And look at who’s leading us now. A hate-filled, hate-spewing, bigoted, sexist, racist, under-educated, blow-hard. The murderous enemies of the Fallen Trinity of Peace and Unification have won. Or so it would appear. Those who pull the “behind-the-scene-strings” have us exactly where they need us to remain: hating one another; racially and religiously divided; and unwilling or unable to listen to each other. Just look at us. Let us take a long, hard look at ourselves. Are we not individually and collectively better than this?
What are We, the People, going to do now? How long will we remain blind sheep following the hatred-spewing messages of those leading us to our own slaughter? And to the death of all that is good and holy and honorable in this nation. How long will we sleep walk as we are led by evil into the death of a nation that still has the potential of serving as a shining example to the rest of the world of a united people. United not by skin color, ethnicity or religion but by our common humanity. In the final analysis, this is still—although perhaps not for long—a democracy…for, by and of the people.
And so, the next move is up to us, the people. We can still make this nation a shining example of peace, justice, unity and love in memory of three truly great men: President John Kennedy, Prophet Martin Luther King and most the honorable, Senator Bobby Kennedy; the blood of all three sacrificed at the altar of Evil.
Our only remaining powers are: (1) the exercise of our right to VOTE in the next elections (2) to encourage every eighteen-year-old we know to VOTE (3) those of you who are so inclined…run for office in your community. Let us change the face of politics.
” Woman At Crossroads” –There are those times in all of our lives when we come to a Crossroad…do I go left or right? This job or that one? Chemo or no chemo? Live or die?
You would think that after 79 years of living this human drama, a woman would be spared life’s complexities and dilemmas. That one’s sunset years could be spent in play; drumming, dancing on the summer grass, experiencing only the joys of life…loving…simply being…
That’s not the way of this journey in the Third Dimension. And I am finally learning to embrace Life’s challenges; to welcome each Crossroad, regardless of how challenging a choice I must make as I continue on this twisting, winding journey of unexpected events, people and circumstances.
These days, when I reach that inevitable Fork In The Road, I find my Spirit Companions right there waiting for me. Mother Goddess, my Guardian Angel, my Orisha, Elegua…and Love ItSelf. Right there in the Silence of my heart…waiting for me to ask: Which Path is my path to Fulfillment of Purpose in being in this Here-Now? All it takes is the asking. The acknowledgement that I DO NOT KNOW. And in that surrender to a Wisdom higher than my human Ego, I am led; step by step, day by day, breath by breath into a new and expanded experience of being human on planet earth.
Let us never forget that the Ancestors are always here to guide us. We need only to stop pretending that we have the answers…and ASK. Ashe.
