When we first begin to awaken, we Brujas…Women of God…Goddesses and Divine Feminine Beings, we realize that this 3-D “reality” is not static…unbending or unyielding to our human will; and that we not only influence what becomes form but can actually “will” or “create” with our minds what becomes form—much to the ego’s delight.
Years are then spent manipulating our reality plus the realities of those who come to us in droves, paying us cold hard cash to manipulate their realities for them and/or teach them how to smooth out the rough spots in their own lives, i.e., lack of money, no lover, horrible lover, terrible job and on and on and on.
Finally, if we are not too ego-maniacal, we tire of creating and recreating the same nonsense over and over again, never finding that deep, soul-satisfying and lasting human scenario that would make living in this third dimension truly meaningful, purposeful and fulfilling. And that is when the ego begins the process of awakening to itself and to the falseness of its self-appointed ruler-ship of our being. Thus, begins the slow and painful death of the ego’s rule and the emergence of the rule of The Divine Feminine (or, what I, affectionately refer to as: La Diosa Adentro) which has lain hidden all of one’s life, in a secret fold of the heart; waiting for just this season of change…this death and rebirth that comes before the Resurrection of Inner Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding: the beginning of one’s Sacred Role of Service to one’s “tribe” and to humanity in general.
Thus, in the sunset years of our lives, we become Brujas Ancianas…Wise Women…Tribal Elders…Goddesses-in-the-flesh and the real Holy Work and purpose of this journey to the here-now begins to unfold in…through and as all that we are and do…in these temporary and temporal roles of human beings on planet earth. Aşe.

” Woman At Crossroads” –There are those times in all of our lives when we come to a Crossroad…do I go left or right? This job or that one? Chemo or no chemo? Live or die?
You would think that after 79 years of living this human drama, a woman would be spared life’s complexities and dilemmas. That one’s sunset years could be spent in play; drumming, dancing on the summer grass, experiencing only the joys of life…loving…simply being…
That’s not the way of this journey in the Third Dimension. And I am finally learning to embrace Life’s challenges; to welcome each Crossroad, regardless of how challenging a choice I must make as I continue on this twisting, winding journey of unexpected events, people and circumstances.
These days, when I reach that inevitable Fork In The Road, I find my Spirit Companions right there waiting for me. Mother Goddess, my Guardian Angel, my Orisha, Elegua…and Love ItSelf. Right there in the Silence of my heart…waiting for me to ask: Which Path is my path to Fulfillment of Purpose in being in this Here-Now? All it takes is the asking. The acknowledgement that I DO NOT KNOW. And in that surrender to a Wisdom higher than my human Ego, I am led; step by step, day by day, breath by breath into a new and expanded experience of being human on planet earth.
Let us never forget that the Ancestors are always here to guide us. We need only to stop pretending that we have the answers…and ASK. Ashe.
Chakra Flowering – Artwork/Photo by Toni Roberts
“Chakra Flowering”–Original artwork by Toni Roberts. This piece is symbolic of the flowering of the Root Chakra and the rising of Kundalini Energy up the spine to the 7th Chakra at the top of the head. There are seven Spiritual Centers (Chakras) or “Wheels of Energy” along the human spine. These centers are aligned with the seven major endocrine/glandular systems in the body. During guided meditation workshop participants rotate the color of each Chakra in a circle as they move slowly up from the Root to the to the seventh Chakra at the top of the head. The benefits of this Chakra Color Meditation are a gradual spiritual awakening–or enlightenment–plus physical wellness–or a Wholeness of Being regardless of the number of years one has spent in the flesh body. And those are only two benefits of the practice of Kundalini meditation–there are many. One of which, as you can see by the accompanying photograph, is the awakening of one’s artistic/creative expression.
